Michelle Pereira is a Nashville-based pop/soul/country vocalist and songwriter originally from Toronto, Canada. Often compared to Sara Bareilles and Adele, she blends soulful vocals with melody-driven, relatable songwriting. She has written at Warner Music and Universal Music, is supported by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and contributes to outreach programs bringing music into healthcare and recovery settings.

After earning a degree in Vocal Jazz and a Music Business certificate, she relocated to Nashville in 2015 to further develop her craft, studying audio engineering under industry leaders including John McBride and the late Mark Rubel. Immersing herself in Nashville’s Music Row, Michelle has written at major publishing houses such as Warner Music and Universal Music. With support from organizations like the Nashville Songwriters Association International and Song Suffragettes, she secured a performance visa, solidifying her presence in the U.S. music industry. She is also supported by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, where she contributes to educational and outreach initiatives, bringing live music and songwriting experiences to students and individuals in healthcare and recovery settings. Her accolades include a feature on the Grand Ole Opry’s 650 AM WSM Radio, selection for the ASCAP GPS program, and winning the Bluebird Cafe Golden Pick Contest in 2021—an honor that led to multiple performances at the iconic venue. She has also received a FACTOR Artist Development grant and had her music featured in the Pureflix film God’s Country Song. "First time I met this young lady she was standing outside The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville with her guitar talking to Holly and I. She was sweet, timid, and so nice. What she didn't mention was that she was on the lineup to play for us that night and let me tell you, She Rocked The House!! I was so amazed that this voice and soul could come out of someone who appeared a bit bashful and innocent. ["If He's Worthy"]...is one of the song she played that night and I'll never forget my goosebumps just watching her. I was in the right place at the right time. I love her, her personality, her music! She's a Toronto native, (our neighbor to the North) who is following her dream in Music City! Take time to listen to some of her stuff and if you ever get the chance, see her play!
